According to a poll of 1,000 opinion leaders, Apple has now toppled Google as the most influential and innovative UK company.   The survey, known as the Thought Leadership Index 2009 was undertaken by TLG Communications and polling company Populus

The sample of business leaders, chief executives, senior civil servants, media and public sector executives, were asked to rank organisations on a set of criteria, including - to what extent these companies challenged conventional thinking, how far the organisations kept to their claims and commitments and how original were their approaches to new products and services.
