Exmoor submits to the mso.net challengers

Date: Saturday 4th September 2010

Time: 0615 hours

Location: Wimbleball Lake, Exmoor

Mission: To trail 10 miles around the lake facing challenges without fear or hesitation. To mountain bike through rough terrain, risking life and limb to then canoe 2 miles around the lake and return home via said bike and post competitive times against other media agencies.



Two teams from MSO.net: Paul, Richard, David, Sarah and Gina in one team (Team Water) and Maryse, Vaida, Mark, Emma and Simon (Team Food), completed the challenge in 6 hours, 35 minutes and 6 hours, 47 minutes respectively. Team Water's 10 mile run was the second fastest of the day and both teams came 6th and 7th out a field of 13 - a good solid start to our campaign which we are all keen to continue next year.

Team Food added drama to the proceedings when Vaida managed to twist her ankle and needed medical attention part-way round the first challenge. The team were able to recommence without Vaida, who unfortunately had to sit out the run in an ambulance. Even more credit to Team Food that they completed the 10 mile run and Vaida was able to join them to complete the canoe task. The hours of training paid off and we're all proud of what we've achieved - the pain is only just starting to recede.
