New Digital Channel Launched for Aston Business School

15 September 2011

Aston Business School has developed a new digital platform this summer, aimed at sharing academic news, views and ideas across the globe. As one of Europe’s leading business schools, Aston Business School has worked with digital education specialists MSO.net to create an online channel which fully integrates with their existing social networks.

Richard Price at MSO.net comments “Developing an online platform which enables Aston Business School to interact with current and prospective students from around the world is important to its ability to remain at the top. Together we have created a website which enables Aston Business School to showcase the very best of its thinking and academic research. Lectures, interviews with students and academic staff, study guides and a host of course materials are available to download, watch or read. The site integrates with iTunes and YouTube, enabling students and colleagues to access information quickly and intuitively.”

The website is also a valuable resource for potential students, providing interactive media which showcases the innovative work that takes place at Aston, as well as sharing experiences of what it is like to live and study at the School.

Paul Hebron, Website Development Officer at Aston Business School said:

“Aston conducts world leading research and offers an inspirational learning experience to our students. We wanted to be able to share this information with prospective students and researchers across the globe. Knowing how important social media is as a tool for communication we decided to work with MSO.net to develop something which is quite unique in the Higher Education sector.”

Having built a successful website for the current needs of the Business School, it was important to the team at MSO.net that the site would continue to deliver exceptional results in the future. “One of the additional elements we factored into the development of the Aston Business School site was the ability to create an online digital library of resources and content, explains Richard Price, “As this technology operates on the same content management system, the team at Aston can use this facility to test ideas and options without any investment or third party involvement. This will support the School as it continues to develop its approach to digital content and learning.”
