New guidelines called PAS (Publicity Availability Specification) 78 have been developed by the British Standards Institution (BSI). Sponsored by the Disability Rights Commission (DRC) with input from the RNIB, the new guidelines should ensure that websites operate within the confines of the law. It is hoped that those organisations following these guidelines will have websites that disabled people can use.
