The Brief
As the result of a rebranding strategy, MSO.net was asked to design a new website for realgap.co.uk The website required the delivery of two key elements: an original design concept and e-commerce functionality: an activity information delivery tool, allowing users to arrange their ideal travel itinerary.
Background
Real Gap Experience is the new name for The Work and Travel Company. Real Gap offers hundreds of gap year projects and programmes across 30 countries. Travel options include working holidays, gap year jobs and volunteer projects abroad.
The Solution
With innovative use of colour and imagery, the new website met all expectations. Attractive visuals and clearly defined sections ensure an unrivalled user experience.
From the user’s perspective, the site is easy to navigate and the search function with its four filters ensures that results are tailored to a specific set of criteria.
The housekeeping of travel programmes has to be uncomplicated yet thorough given their number. MSO.net delivered a new destination function whereby the site administrator can add programmes and choose from an exhaustive list of options such as:
Assigning programme managers so that users can email them with queries
Selecting the destination, duration and price of individual programmes
Adding imagery
Adding content
Results
A comprehensive administrative package built in ColdFusion that has strong brand identity and is easy to use.
