What is Google saying about IE8

Very little has been said.  Their product management director, Eric Tholomé explained that what was needed "was a fresh start" - Google developers, thwarted by existing browsers needed to develop their own browser to work in tandem with their products.

At the product launch, co-founder Sergey Brin conceded that if  "IE9 was much, much better as a consequence of Chrome, we would consider that a success."
