
As part of an ongoing development website project for directline holidays, we were asked to design and develop a website that could recreate the ‘one-to-one' customer relationship reminiscent of High Street travel agencies.
We wanted to create a site which was really easy to navigate, and would help holiday makers pin point their ideal break quickly and efficiently. An improved search facility helps visitors determine their key requirements be it destination, price or package. Search criteria can be updated at any time. More detailed information can be offered to visitors of the site. This facility combines two data feeds and is displayed in a format similar to that found in a traditional brochure.
The facility to see the complete breakdown of the holiday package is included before purchase. With e-commerce functionality, the new online booking facility provides a one-stop-shop approach; holidaymakers can research, choose and buy their dream holiday destination at a time and location that suits them best.
Directline holidays can now boast as many as 20 million holidays on its site, assuring its customers that their ideal break is only a few clicks away. It has quickly become the one of the industry’s most popular travel sites and has been commended by the Greenlight Travel Sector Report. Directline holidays has risen to 18th in the 2010 Times Fast Track 100.
