Highlights from Bett 2016

Following my attendance at Bett 2016, here’s a quick synopsis of what I thought were the highlights. To read my full article, check out my LinkedIn post.

This year’s event seemed to be buzzing more than previous years’ which is no mean feat. There was a real sense of collaboration amongst technology peers and everyone was keen to impart experience and knowledge. That, if nothing else left me feeling really positive about the future of digital in education.

With so many exhibitors (860 at the final count), you can’t fail to be impressed by the sheer scale of Bett. The line up of speakers was impressive with two standing out in particular: Nicky Morgan, MP, the Secretary of State for Education and Minister for Women and Equalities and Professor Sugata Mitra, Professor of Educational Technology at the School of Education, Communication and Language Sciences at Newcastle University.

I was also able to hook up with the team at GitHub Education who are totally committed to helping our programmers of tomorrow wanting to code. For more info, go to
