So you’ve created a great logo, website and print material now it’s time to get recognised. Everyone with a business wants to get their brand acknowledged, designing and developing a great brand is only worthwhile if you can expose it and ultimately attract the clients you want.
So here are some ways to expose your brand:
In this day and age most companies have a blog. So it’s simple, just do it – be proactive, you have a voice and ideas so share it! However this can quickly go wrong if you don't maintain your blog, it's really important to give your readers some fresh new opinions/outlooks in your field. Get all your employees to get involved for different subjects and perspectives. At mso we try to get designers, developers and project managers to write blogs – they all play a key role in how a design agency is run. But… keep in mind this is only worth doing if you’re going to dedicate time to write interesting articles regularly.
You don’t always need to write about the progress of your own organisation – find clients/competitors you like and tell your audience what you like about them. They may even repay the favour one day and link back to your site – which ultimately is going to increase your audience base. So don’t be afraid of losing business, it's much more likely to increase.
3. Social Media
Social media is great to expose your business to a global audience. Selecting which ones work best for you and your business is vital. For example Instagram is naturally great for photographers, but is equally as great for restaurateurs to share photos of their beautiful food displays.
Focusing on the three social media logos we see everywhere: Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. All are great for sharing your work - tagging clients/organisations you’ve worked with increasing your own audience base. It also gives you the opportunity to share the personality of your organisation - at mso we hope we come across as a creative , fun and innovative design agency. Joining, following groups, clients related to your business helps keep up with the competition and increases your own knowledge on what you could do. Again pushing your social media presence requires time and thought, so make sure you can make this commitment before creating the accounts.
4. YouTube/ Vimeo
Videos let you quickly and effectively show your personality and work whilst making you relatable. Instagram gives a real feel for who you are and what you do through your short video clips. Make your brand stick in someone’s head – catchy soundtracks, good imagery, filming office culture can all help to enhance your brand! This helps viewers connect to your brand visually, so next time they require the service your business provide they’ll think of you.
Run webinars to share your expertise and show how your product or service works – demonstrating main features and selling points. You know your business best – unload unique selling points. Webinars are easy for people to access, cost effective and it’s free advertising!
All of the above are simple, easy ways to share and push your brand. So start sharing your business to help people know, like and most importantly trust your brand.
