In the mso office, we were hurtling towards the end of a long hot summer trying to find something (other than building beautiful websites) that would keep up office morale and energy as the shorter days of autumn drew closer.
The penny (or £50 to be more precise) dropped when we heard about the Ellenor Accumulator Challenge, never one to pass up a challenge this was the perfect task to keep the cobwebs firmly at bay ✔ whilst doing some good ✔ and creating general silliness in the office ✔.
What is the Ellenor Accumulator Challenge?
Ellenor gave us £50 and we increase it over 4 months.
There is also a bit of healthy competition between local businesses in our community to raise as much money as possible for the charity.
What did we do?
Well, we did a little bit of everything, from bacon rolls & pancake breakfasts, 2-minute office games, a sponsored Leg wax, the Twilight walk, a Beer & BBQ lunch, the ‘Bone Appetit’ Halloween bake sale and a chocolate raffle.
We also had a lot of fun (see our videos on social) donating to the Giving Tree at Bluewater during the Christmas period, where you buy a gift to leave under the tree and it is donated to 41 charities including Ellenor.
How much did we make?
£442.85 (£479.10 with the original £50)
Ellenor is a wonderful Charity helping families who are facing terminal illness, working in our community to improve the way of life for many. Ellenor has had a hugely positive impact on some of our colleagues family, friends and friends of friends, so this was the perfect way of giving back whilst having some full of nonsense fun.
Now… to find the next challenge.
