For the last 18 months, mso has been working with Morrison's Academy, the leading independent day school in Perthshire. Set in truly spectacular grounds offering huge scope for outdoor learning and activities, the School boasts a unique educational experience and we were delighted to be on board, developing both the website and communications portal.
The website looks stunning, each visual carefully selected to showcase exactly what makes Morrison's so special. It's not only the home page that resonates, as you navigate through the site, each page continues along the same theme so by the end of your visit, a real school persona has emerged.
As always, the build process included numerous discussions within the design/UX team regarding the layout and structure on various devices. It's never easy trying to come up with a solution that pleases everyone - the old adversaries, desktop and mobile love to cause headaches - but we're very happy with the end result.
We're particularly pleased with the feedback from people visiting the site. They like the bold menu, the fact that it works really well across different platforms; the way the colour palette is used to render the site strong and positive and how we've succeeded in providing an engaging online experience. Many have told us they actually enjoy being on the site as opposed to many school counterparts which merely act as staid, clinical brochures.
The portal echoes website branding but parents are left in no doubt that they're being served a new environment in which to communicate directly with the School and receive all the information they need about their child. All types of results (sporting, academic and attendance) are only a few clicks away as are school reports, event details and booking facilities. We've been really chuffed with the great comments that have been fed back to us and there's no greater accolade that being told by a School that everyone's lives have been made easier as a result.
Parents love the site, the portal looks fantastic! We are looking forward to adding more features to it over the coming months.
