The Port of London Authority works to keep commercial and leisure users of the River Thames safe; to protect and enhance the environment and to promote the use of the river for trade and travel. For over 10 years, we have been supporting and developing the main website (www.pla.co.uk), the recreational site (www.boatingonthethames.co.uk) and the intranet.
Back in 2013, we focused on moving each of the PLA’s online systems over to our own bespoke content management system (CMS). Focus was very much on content control - refining CMS functionality to ensure that on the front end, the PLA could decide widgets’ size, layout and content.
2014 saw the launch of the PLA’s media centre. We planned, designed and built the information hub that now forms the one-stop resource for media that had previously been deployed across many sections of the website. Further exciting projects are planned for 2015 - collaborating on digital marketing, content marketing and the latest cutting edge technology cements our partnership with the PLA which goes from strength to strength.
The value mso brings is in being a virtual part of our team. At every stage we worked together to develop the improvements and the best thing is that mso is as keen to create a great site as we are. It's reassuring to know that every project is meticulously planned and competently completed so that when ‘show time’ comes, the switch between versions is seamlessly executed.
