The Kent Association of Special Schools (KASS) is the organised voice of special schools within Kent. It represents the special schools who choose to join it and it currently has 24 members. They approached us with the requirement for a central resource to share KASS related documentation across all of the 24 schools to ensure a more efficient means of dissemination.
Using the portal solution we are already offering schools and their parents we’ve adapted the platform for KASS staff to use instead. We were delighted to help KASS on this project; not only did it give us the opportunity to further develop our product but it allowed us to make our own contribution to a well deserving association that helps children and young people in Kent with special educational needs.
The staff portal will benefit KASS members and teaching staff alike, serving as a communications platform to share materials and ideas. The home screen features a bulletin board so that everyone can see the important announcements whilst the calendar displays KASS events which can be filtered depending on the event type. The portal also has different user groups to ensure that the documents and pages are relevant to each staff member making it easy to transfer and share confidential information to specific groups within the association.
We look forward to developing our relationship with KASS and working with them on future projects.
