Project Summary
Stead & Wilkins is a Kent based specialist fabrication and precision engineering company, focusing on niche areas like rail, defence and bespoke projects. Having previously worked with Stead & Wilkins on their last website, they approached us looking for a fresh new responsive design that set them apart from their competitors.
As their existing site didn’t feature a lot of content, our developer and designer came up with the idea to create a single page horizontal scrolling site using the latest in HTML5, CSS and JS. The aim was to create a journey for the user yet provide them with the relevant information. The result is a journey line that takes you through the different sections of the website – a truly immersive experience that encourages you to scroll through the site. Nice bold icons are also featured along the journey to break up the text and are in keeping with brand colours. All imagery on the site is Stead & Wilkins’ showcasing their work instead of using stock pictures.
